Your job as a teacher assistant will be to help permanently employed educators at your previous school with day-to-day duties.

- General School Assistant – Child & Youth Care Worker
- General School Assistant – Handyman (no matric required)
- General School Assistant – Sports and Enrichment Agent (no matric required)
You’ll be placed at the school of your choice for 5 months, earning a stipend of R4,081 per month for the employed period.

The requirement to qualify for the presidential basic education employment initiative is the matric certificate (National Senior Certificate). And also having additional qualifications will put you at an advantage.
