The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites all unemployed graduates nationwide to apply for the 2024 internships.
It’s a 12-month SAPS internship programme under the Graduate Recruitment Scheme at the various divisions.
The closing date for the 2024 SAPS internship is 17 May, read more details below and apply as soon as possible.

Qualification Criteria
To be eligible for the SAPS unemployed graduate internship, you must at least meet the following criteria.
- Be a South African citizen
- Must be in possession of National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4)
- Must have no previous criminal conviction(s) or case(s) pending
- Applicants must be unemployed, never employed in field of the advertised post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post.
- Applicants must be residents of the Province where the post is advertised
- Applicants are restricted to applying for only three (03) posts and complete a separate application form for each post reference number.
The following people will be considered for the advertised SAPS internships.
- Graduate Intern: You must hold a tertiary qualification, completed your studies and now seeking practical work experience.
- Student Intern: Practical experience required by the Tertiary Institution in order for you to finalize your study qualification (letter from the Institution not older than two (2) years must be attached)

How to Apply for the SAPS Internship
To apply for the internship, you must download and complete the official SAPS application form with all the required information.
Accompany your internship application with the following:
- A well-crafted CV
- Copy of your ID
- Copy of educational certificates
You must submit your application either by post or hand-delivered to designated locations detailed in each of the above-listed official internship documents.
Deadline: May 17, 2024.
After that, you might undergo various assessments, to see if you’re suitable for the internship you’re applying for.
Stipends & Remunerations
There’s no specific indication how much the SAPS internship will offer in terms of stipends, this will be determined by each division’s commissioner and human resource departments.
But you can be sure to be assisted financially during the time of this internship.
