The SABC invites all unemployed graduates to apply for their 2024 internships kicking-starting on June, 1st.
The programme offers various SABC internships, offering you the practical experience and work exposure you need to kickstart your career in media.
It’s a 12-month internship programme, aimed at empowering the youth and thereby investing in the future economy of South Africa.

Who Qualifies for the SABC Internship?
The SABC’s group HR executive announced that all categories of qualifications are welcome to apply for the internship programme.
But you know the SABC’s services, it’s a media and broadcasting company, which means you must at least have a qualification that aligns with their services, including but not limited to the following:
- National Diploma or Degree in Journalism or related field (NQF6/7)
- Additional certifications or specialized training in multimedia journalism, digital storytelling, or mobile journalism preferred
On top of that, you must bring along your professional and personal skills that’ll help you grow into the company and help the SABC grow as well.
The HR executive indicated that they are, at the same time, creating job posts that’ll absorb some interns at the end of the programme.

Stipends & Compensations
You will be getting a stipend for being part of the internship programme, how much, we don’t know yet but the HR executive indicated you will be compensated very well.
The compensation will be decided by the HR personnel under each of the departments or platforms undertaking the interns.
